The Cameroon American Council thrilled to have been selected as an Official Organization Partner by the Presidential Inaugural Committee for the National Day of Service

CAC based in Washington, DC;  is America’s leading African Immigrant Advocacy organization, through our national network of members, affiliates and partners, we reach out to 300,000 African immigrants nationwide. The Washington Post hails CAC as 'The First Program of Its Kind'

The National  Day of Service Event is organized through CAC's Let's Move African Makossa Initiative (an African twist to Mrs Obama's Let's Move program). Event breakdown includes:  3 panel discusions, a book drive requesting donors to submit books from their favorite African authors,  book readings and an African drumming jam session to entertain attendees.

To reflect our 'Drum Major theme', Drum entertainment, plus drum painting will be provided. The painted drums will in turn be donated to the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut,  as a token of the African support for the massacre at the school.
